 "body": "\n## What it measures\n\nAgentic misalignment is Anthropic's name for a simulated insider threat. The model is an email agent at a fictional firm, given only a harmless goal such as promoting American competitiveness. Mail then says the agent will be replaced, or that the company is changing direction, and that a harmful step would stop that. In the blackmail story, that step is using a personal secret as leverage.
